There's a title of a book I read a decade ago, when I can't remember the author or the title itself. It's historical fiction and romance. There's a girl named Virginia who pretends to be Johanna after she died and meet Stone Thrower, part Native American. I read it in 1995. Does anyone know the name or the author of this book? I can't get it out of my mind.

He and I have been together for almost 5 years and have a beautiful baby girl together. We even had marriage plans. Amazing horse stories!!!!!?

I love horses. I lease one and take lessons on it and other lesson horses. I spend all my free time there and am a counselor for their horse camp in the summer. My favorite horse was a Lipizzaner/paint cross named Legend who was a retired showjumper. He was quiet tempered and very sweet. One day all the lesson horses were out in the pasture and Legend layed down and died of old age. Dakota a crazy ex racehorse. was out in the pasture too. When Legend died Dakota was standing over him honoring him. It was a beautiful thing.

which dealer is closest to where you live? which one do you like best? KTM's are expensive to own and maintain so I would rule that one out for myself. I'm not particularly fond of Kaws so I would rule that one out for myself also. Honda's are bullet proof and Yamaha's are a very close second. I would go to the dealers of both and ask questions to determine which was the better dealer. I also would read the magazines to see which bike they liked the best. Then I would look at the price and ease of maintenance of each bike; changing oil, valve adjustment (this might be in the magazines) then I would decide which one to buy. Just do some research. Except for the price I don't think you can go wrong with either bike.

I think I will always be into horses. I have two horses now, and I know when they are gone, I will want to find a new equine companion. My experience with my horse certainly was not caused by allergies. He had COPD. Please tell the owner about this and have him checked by a vet. Any umption by anybody on a horses health condition needs confirmation by a vet that knows what he is doing. I would be hard put to blame all of his breathing problems on allergies. If riding him makes his breathing worse, please don't ride him again until the vet gives the word that it is ok to ride him. It sounds like the hard riding may be causing him a lot of stress. Please tell the owner to have the vet check him.

I hear ya! I'm doing the same kinds of things, nothing left on that is not being used, coupons etc. Also, been using a webite called kijiji. It has stuff that poeple have for sale and you email back to them and set up a time to go and get it. It's amazing the stuff you can get on there. There is a free part as well. Another one is freecycle. Everything there is free and the hope that people will find something there instead of it going to the landfill.

it took a couple months for them to send mine (colorado). and it took until my daughter was almost 3 months for them to send hers. my doctors office was able to look up my medicaid in the system using my ssn, name, and birthdate. i never once showed them my insurance card because they had the information in the computer after that. they never sent me an acceptance letter or anything, just the card. and medicade should take care of any related charges from when you were waiting on the card. ask your provider if they can acess your medicaid status from the computer like mine did. it should only take minutes for them to do!

My daughter is planning her own baby shower!?

Okay so she is not being traditional.She is inviting 80 people! She is buying decorations and controlling the invites, the hall, the food. She wants it to be men & women, fine. She does not get along with her father (divorced), so is not inviting anyone from that side! Not even her female cousins, even though they have silence since her high school years they are still family in my opinion. I asked who is on this list she became defensive. I have 2 female cousins in their 40's, and I doubt she will even remember them. She said it is mostly her boyfriends friends. She is not getting married, they plan on getting an apartment.It is frustrating for her to be doing this, I hung up on her when she started yelling at me. She is turning it into a social party for her bf's sake. Yet disrespecting family by omitting her dad's side entirely and the extensions of my family as well. I'm a finance professional in middle management and very good at what I do but I can't honestly say that my contributions "rocked the company" or had a significant contributions to the bottom line. I've made improvements with headcount reductions and meeting deadlines but that's probably the extent of it. There are people who perform "great at their job" but don't have the opportunities to expand into "superstars"? It's almost like you have to lie or seriously embellish your background. My siblings have lives of their own and pretty much everyone around me has an existing peer group so I cant really into that. Is it okay to take Diflucan nad Valtrex together?

I just got off of antibiotics on Sunday (I had to stop taking them because they gave me a yeast infection). Well, I took the Monistat 1 on Sunday evening and used the external cream. However, I have had HSV-2 for almost a year now as well. I was fine before I started taking the antibiotics. 5 days after taking them, I was really itchy and uncomfortable and had all the signs of a yeast infection. The monistat 1 seemed to have made it worse so I called my DR and they prescribed Diflucan. I took one on Tuesday night and it seemed to help a little, but I am still really itchy and sore. It seems like my Vulva is REALLY dry and now there's a fishy smell. I have another pill, which I will probably take tonight. I have had yeast infections before due to antibiotics. I have little cuts and it's really itchy still with a little burning as well. I don't believe it's an outbreak, but is it safe for me to take the Valtrex and Diflucan together?

Okay, so I need a professional's opinion. When I sing with my choral voice, I can't even make it through one verse in a song without my throat hurting, particularly the left side. Need help with house training?

Sorry this is so long but I am desperate. My dog is a 19 month old female Boston Terrier. We have had her for 15 months. I have tried every bit of advice handed to me in order to get this dog to go outside. I have had her checked at the vet for abnormalities. My vet thought I was a nut but I was told she may have urinary tract or bladder issues. She is crate trained and at this point lives mainly in the crate because unless she is under 24 hour watch she will go in the house. If we are sitting in the kitchen when she has to go she will go to the door. If we are not she goes wherever she feels. Though I know she is going to the door the fact that she has to make some noise to let us know she is there isn't sinking in. I have taught her how to speak and make her speak every time i open the back door yet she will not bark to go out she just stands there. I even taught her how to ring a bell that I hung on the door handle (another piece of advice that isn't working) but unless you tell her to ring the bell or speak she will do neither when wanting to go out. Also her crate is just roomy enough for her to sleep in yet she goes in the crate. She goes on the blanket she is lying on and gets covered in pee. I have to bath her at least 3 times a week and her skin is being affected by the bathing but I have no choice. I put her water bowl down only 3 times a day for her and let her drink to control how much water she gets to no avail. If I let her sleep in the bed with us she goes on the bed. I am at my wits end. The last advice I got was and I quote "You may just have to accept the fact that she goes in the house. Some dogs never get trained. Just try and keep up with the cleaning." Is this true? I have to just let my dog use the house as a toilet and accept it? What else can I do besides keep her crated 24/7.

I have an older friend who is crushing on my baby sister! Idk what to do?

I lost my mom 2 years ago to cancer but before that even happened I took on the responsibility of her and my sister who was only 15 at the time. We are 8 years apart. My friend, right before we came home from the bar (my sister at home asleep) he tells me he has always dreamed about cuddling with my sister. Nothing ual just cuddling. - His exact words. He was a lil messed up but I had sensed a lil crush going on and I told him straight up, even if my sister was his age, she wouldn't give him the time of day. He said ya.. and then it was droped. On Christmas, he went crazy and bought my sister almost everything she asked for, except for a new car. I am the spoiling type of parent. I want my kids to get what they want.. ofc if they deserve it. So I didn't get upset or anything but in the back of my head I was worried about what was to come of all of this. Then New years comes around and we decided to stay home and invite friends over. We did that, and I've never put my sister in an unsafe environment. She had one of her girl friends spend the night to bring in the new year with, on top of that the rest of my friends are like me, very over protective... so I thought nothing would happen. I have hatched chickens, and I tried to raise baby starlings before. Did you find it on the ground? If you did, more than likely, it was pushed or fell out of the nest. It sounds like it was developing right and died for some reason. Sometimes when something starts to hatch they will die. This would account for the the crack and placenta. Or if it fell out, this would account for the crack as well. The fall could have killed it. Starlings are born almost naked with there eyes closed, so it sounds like it was fully developed. As they begin to hatch, they eat the placenta and cut the shell in two. If you help with the hatching process, they will die. It sounds like you did everything you could. Found eggs are hard to hatch, even if you know they are all right.

My leg has been throbbing for 2 weeks?

I woke up 2 sunday's ago with a throbbing in my leg its belwo my knee but above my ankle, the whole caf and front of the leg, its a constant throb during the day and at night its like a growing pain, but i think at night its worse because i am trying to relax. What to do about internal dissolvable stitches?

I had a laceration on my arm over a year ago. i went to the er, and they gave me 2 layers of stitches, one inside, and one at the surface of the skin. I could feel the stitches under the scar, but could not see them. every one told me it was just thick scar tissue. Whilst in an altercation yesterday, someone grabbed my arm. Now the line of stitches that was under the scar is two inches from the scar. but my scar area finally looks normal. what do i do about the stitches. can i cut an incision and pull it out? Sterilization and blood will not be a problem for me. I've super glued myself back together more times than i could count.

well, i'm a sopre in highschool that has no really-close friends (the ones who you sit with at lunch). i've been new to this school ever since freshman year, and still haven't made any close friends of my interest or gone to any of the dances. Even in middle school i was kind of the loner who got teased and name called here and there. I always see people getting invited to hang out after school, on the weekends, or go to parties, and i always wonder what it feels like to be invited to something. I got cut on the foot two weeks ago with the fins of my board, got stitches and all in one cut, the other cut didn't get stitches. My question is... if I clean them really good, then wear a waterproof patch on them and then wear my wetsuit booties over them... do you guys think it will be safe for me to get into the ocean to surf tomorrow? I knelt beside him confused with tears slowly slipping out of my eyes surfing down my face trying to use my arm to whipe them aside I couldnt understand what just happened. I had forgotten all about whatever bruises i had or open cuts because this would cause that night's event to happen. I looked up at one of my friends Nathan panicing barfing on the side the road i guess terrified wondering were we the ones who did this, while my other friend Garth tended to him trying to console him, then the cut on my arm as i whiped my last tear spilled out a drop blood landing on Andrews top lip. Help? Left pectoral muscle 3 x's larger than right and in severe pain due to pushup & swimming working out.?

My collegiate distance runner son started pushup program 6 days ago every other day combining w/swimming daily as his 2nd workout in addition to a.m. training of 12-16 miles. He's done this for last 3 or so years but just started up pushup program using these black disks with handles he places on floor. In past he's done all 3 levels but is just starting out after a 3 month break. He over did it. His left pec, tri & bi muscles R in pain. Left pec 3 times larger. Took advil, maged w/biofreeze, iced & swam to loosen. No luck. He tried stretching his pecs and arms on doorway. Both pecs, biceps and triceps are sore but Left side severe with again his left pec 3 x's larger than right. Will Left pec swelling go down? What should he do? What do you think he did? I'm flying back home in 2 days & need to know what to do before I feel I can go. He doesn't want to go to a doctor right now cuz he feels he needs to give it time, ice, and hot showers with advil hoping it'll heal on own. Ok so today i ate a piece of ham and picked at a bowl of stuffing. Each piece where like the size of gs. Then i was making pigs in blankets crescent rolls with cream cheese. I kept on licking the little cheese that was sticking to the foil with the occasion of swiping my finger across the knife licking my finger. Then i made a cheese sauce and occasionaly tasted the sauce and when i poured it into a bowl i licked what was left on the whisk. I couldnt resist and ate 3 pigs and blanket and 1 whole crescent roll. I felt extremely guilty so i purged (Ok i admit) then my niece had an ice cream maker and what every dripped i again licked. this may sound crazy but i seriously feel i stuffed my face and i feel guilty :( i feel full for some reason. I have a 2 year old german shepherd mix dog that I've had since a puppy. 2 days ago I got a 1 year old yellow lab. The GS is male and the lab is female. Both have been spade and neutered. They do not get along. My GS seems to be very jealous of the new dog. They don't fight all the time but they have had a number of snapping barking fights. They're pretty civil until it comes to playing fetch and their rawhide bones and stuff like that. They sniff each other but when they're heads get close together they snarl then the barking and snapping starts up and it sounds HORRIBLE! You think they'll ever get along? How long does it usually take? Would pet training help? Should I enroll BOTH of them in the training? My GS has always liked other dogs. He's played and wrestled with dogs before. Hey vegetarians - what do you feed your dog?

I've been a vegetarian for 13 years and married a vegetarian and we have vegetarian children. I've never owned a dog. I have no moral qualms about dogs being carnivores, that's what they are. But since we bought our own house I've been aching for the dog that my parents never let me have, but the idea of welcoming dead animal flesh into our house for the first time really grosses me out, particularly the stinky stuff in the cans. I can't picture myself preparing real stuff either. Like I said, dead animal flesh - yuck. And as much as I know that it's what my dog was built to eat, it would bother me a lot to think about the many animals that died so that my dog can live. I still really want a dog though. Any suggestions?

I have used some hair shampoo that will slightly dye your hair. It's by Pantene and it is called Color Expressions. You should get the one for people with darker hair. Soon you hair will be a light brown. The darkest it will get is a medium brown. If you really want dark brown, you should just get it dyed.
