Why do people (christians included) turn christianity into something its not?

Actually the born again fundamentalists that I think you're one of are the ones that twisted christianity into something it likely never was. You can redefine your god all you like to make christianity sound pretty and friendly. However, anyone who reads the bible understands that at christianity's foundation is murder, mayhem, , , and other things us rational folks frown upon.
