At what stage of meiosis is the DNA content per gamete reduced to haploid? explain.?

Anaphase of meiosis I; logous chromosomes align along the metaphase plate during metaphase 1 in a formation called a "tetrad". The next phase "anaphase" allows "reduction division" to occur reducing a diplod cell to a pair of haploid daughter cells by the completion of meiosis I.
