Help! What is this movie!?

I remember watching it, it was about California getting attacked with the means of biological warfare.. the guy saran wrapped his house so he wouldn't be infected, tried getting out, and it ends by depicting how if he wouldn't of sealed himself he wouldn't have been infected..? I don't know the cover has a person in a gas mask i think
